SARAH BONES

Photographer

Sarah S. Bones saved for her first 35mm camera at age 13, in 1969. She was soon hitchhiking into Philadelphia so she could photograph the lives and circumstances of people living on the street. As a professional photographer and director, her passion in documenting people in need continued and has carried her across the world and locally, into prisons, homeless shelters and inside the political arena. She joined the collective group Photographers For Hope in 2011 and is a longtime member of both ASMP and the NPPA.

As a lifelong summer resident of Essex she has used her camera to capture both the landscape and the people within it.
