Emilie McBride is a watercolorist whose work reflects her love of plants and the outdoors developed over the past three decades as a landscape designer. The beauty of the natural world and the play of light on various forms has long fascinated and inspired her. 

 

She has developed her painting technique by taking classes with various metropolitan area artists and at the Art League in Alexandria, Virginia. Her paintings have been shown at the Art League Gallery, Gallery West, Cafe Monet, The American Horticultural Society, Green Spring Gardens Park and Brookside Gardens. She has had solo shows at the Left Bank Gallery Cafe and Penn Place Gallery. 

 

She is a juried member of Potomac Valley Watercolorists and The Miniature Painters, Sculptors, and Gravers Society of Washington, DC.
